Get Thos Direct Mail Response Rates Up

Getting good direct mail response rates from a direct mail marketing campaign can be a bit tricky, but there are things you can do to get those direct mail response rates up.

If you have conducted direct mail campaigns before, or are planning on conducting a direct mail campaign then you know that you want good direct mail response rates.

The best way to get better direct mail response rates is to create a great unique selling proposition, otherwise known as a unique selling point. This selling point gives the customer the reason why he should buy from you instead of buying from your competition. In one sentence you should be able to describe and explain why the reader should do business with you.

When you think up of your unique selling point then you should think about the three essential elements of a unique selling point. Remember if you get this right, you will make your direct mail response rates go up.

1. The sentences should request the response from the reader. As in the following example: "If you buy this, you will get this"

2. You need to word it in a different way. Something that your competition doesn't do.

3. To get better direct mail response rates you need to create a need for your product. Look at some of the greats for ideas. Promotional material by Dominos Pizza, makes you already taste the Pizza in your mouth.

When you create your Unique selling point, thereby getting those direct mail response rates up, try to think like the customer. Answer the question: Why should they buy the product from you? Focus on your client base and not on everyone. You don't want to sell to everyone, just to your niche.

Your unique selling point needs to answer the following questions made by your prospect, and when you have answered these, you will be able to get better direct mail response rates.

* What problem does your product resolve?

* What makes you better than the rest?

* What deal can you give your prospects that others cant?

* Why should the prospect buy from you?

To get good direct mail response rates you need to focus on your individuality and uniqueness. This is what is most important to your prospects. You can do this by making a statement that tells your prospect what makes your product different from others.

Make your statement effective by making it to the point and catchy. Put your USP on all of your marketing material, even on your business cards but especially on your direct mail marketing material. That way the next time you send out a direct mail distribution you will get better direct mail response rates.

If you use these techniques you sales should get better due to an effective direct mail campaign. Continue with the same tactics in all your direct mail endeavors.
